LABB at ILA Berlin – Pioneering Aerospace 2026
ILA Berlin – Pioneering Aerospace 2026 was more than just a major aerospace exhibition. It sent a clear signal about the future of aerospace in Lusatia✈️
What did we bring back from Berlin?
Not only inspiration and new partnerships, but also a clear direction for what’s next 💡
For LABB – Lausitz Aerospace Berlin-Brandenburg (LABB), the joint Berlin Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance (BBAA e.V.) provided a powerful impetus for the development of our network, our region and our international partnerships.
From 10 to 14 June 2026, the BBAA/LABB stand welcomed more than 500 visitors from all over the world. Over 150 business and expert discussions took place, supported by numerous workshops, networking sessions, delegation visits and panel discussions held directly at our stand. More than just an exhibition space, our stand became a meeting place for industry, academia, public institutions and international partners 🌍
During the ILA, we met companies, clusters, chambers of commerce, public institutions and business support organisations from 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇨🇿 the Czech Republic, 🇫🇷 France, 🇮🇳 India, Italy, 🇮🇹 Kenya, 🇰🇪 🇲🇾 Malaysia, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇺🇦 Ukraine and the United States 🇺🇸. We also exchanged views with German partners such as 🇩🇪 the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce, 🇩🇪 Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB), local authorities and organisations promoting economic development in Lusatia and Berlin-Brandenburg🤝
The key message was clear: the future of aerospace is being driven by autonomous systems, UAV technologies, space applications, artificial intelligence, sustainable aviation and international cooperation. Particularly valuable were the discussions with industry clusters, chambers of commerce, innovation networks and technology companies working on advanced materials, aerospace technology and next-generation aviation solutions.
As emphasised by Dr Michael Schoellhorn, President of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI – Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie e.V.): “Germany and Europe need economic growth, sustainable mobility, access to space, as well as security and sovereignty more urgently than ever.”
Many thanks to all our partners, delegations, exhibitors and visitors for the inspiring discussions during ILA Berlin 2026. Given the fast-paced nature of these intense days, it is simply impossible to mention everyone individually, but I am truly grateful for every exchange, every new connection and every opportunity we discussed. Many of these discussions are just the beginning!
